ABSTRACT: Using MOS parameters and BJT calculations, this paper explores the design of single stage transistor amplifiers using a common source MOSFET and a common emitter BJT. As well as designing and implementing these single stage amplifiers, this paper will also highlight the tradeoffs between the two semiconductor devices.
